How to read this tier list
This tier list ranks AION 2's classes across solo PvP, group PvP, dungeons and farming. Tiers reflect the current meta on Korean and Taiwan servers ahead of global launch.
S tier
- Gladiator — the safest and most complete class. A frontline bruiser with sweeping AoE, lifesteal, heavy crowd control and enough durability to stay in fights that force other damage dealers out.
- Assassin — the sharpest single-target burst. Alignment of buffs produces an enormous number of hits; a skilled Assassin deletes a priority target and disengages.
A tier
- Ranger — the most complete ranged damage dealer, with consistent damage, mobility, traps and knockbacks. Exceptional for open-world farming.
- Cleric — no other class replaces everything a Cleric brings to a group: healing, cleanses, barriers, defensive cooldowns and resurrection.
B tier
- Sorcerer — a glass cannon with strong burst and control, but positioning controls everything and its survivability is limited.
- Spiritmaster — sustained pet damage and CC resistance, though it relies on skilled pet management to shine.
Solo PvP quick picks
- S+ tier: Assassin, Gladiator, Templar — burst, sustain and near-unbeatable defense.
- S tier: the remaining ranged DPS classes for their safe, consistent damage.
- A tier: Chanter; B tier: Cleric, whose strengths are built for group play.
Group PvP quick picks
- S+ tier: Templar, Cleric — defense, healing and party utility dominate.
- S tier: Gladiator, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Chanter.
The bottom line
Gladiator and Assassin currently define the top of the meta, but every class is viable with the right gear. Use this list as a starting point, not a rule — balance in AION 2 is remarkably healthy.
